Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics - Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics (IBB) is a pioneering Persian (Iranian) research Institute founded in 1976 to conduct world class research in biological sciences and related fields. It is affiliated to Tehran University and is located in the University campus.

Barton Hawkins - Barton K. Hawkins (born 1961) instigated several key advances in biochemistry and biophysics, most notably his invention of the intramolecular kinetic isotope effect.
