University of Texas Medical Branch - The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is a component of the University of Texas System located in Galveston, Texas. It is a health care complex spanning 85 acres (344,000 m²), with six hospitals, 13,000 employees and an assortment of specialized clinics, centers and institutes, including a medical school.

John Sealy Hospital - John Sealy Hospital (opened on January 10 1890) was founded in Galveston, by the widow and brother of one of the richest citizens of Texas, John Sealy, after his death, by using his generous donation left for public aid organizations. Accompanied by the John Sealy Hospital Training School for Nurses, which was opened two months after the hospital, the foundation became the primary teaching facility of University of Texas Medical Branch opened in October 1891.

University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas - The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (also known as “Southwestern”) is one of the leading medical research facilities in the United States.
